Tyler Alderman DDS
Born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia he earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Marshall University. He then went on to attend West Virginia University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with outstanding achievements in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. He is extremely patient-based with particular expertise in surgical & restorative dentistry. His passion for implant dentistry has led him to achieve notable proficiency in full mouth reconstruction including extraction, grafting, and implant placement. Dr. Alderman completes a substantial amount of Continuing Education each year, well beyond the requirements of the Dental Board. He is dedicated to keeping up with the most advanced forms of technology and technique in order to provide his patients with the utmost & up-to-date quality care.
Dr. Alderman is passionate about helping others feel a greater sense of well-being and radiating confidence through oral health. His personal goal is to establish close rapport with each and every patient by providing a strong level of communication and empathy. He is married to his wife, Brooklyn, and together they have two energetic young boys and an adorable and spunky little girl. Outside of patient care, Dr. Alderman spends most of his time enjoying the outdoors with his family and entertaining with friends.

With that being said, many of you have been inquiring about name change, we feel now is the right time to retire the Smiles by Hogan name and continue this new chapter with a new face! We are excited to announce that we will soon be operating as Mount Pleasant Modern Dentistry!

Kevin Hogan DDS
A 1981 graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry, Dr. Kevin Hogan has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education, much of it at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, a world-renowned center for comprehensive and aesthetic dentistry. He has also completed extensive coursework with the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and lectured at both North Carolina and Emory University.
His love for sailing first took Dr. Hogan to Michigan, where he ran a thriving private practice for eighteen years. In 1999 the lure of a more southern climate inspired him to relocate his family and practice to South Carolina, where he is thrilled to provide the same exceptional level of care.
